So a trustee of the Choral Evensong Trust and his wife pop down to some obscure village in Sussex for a church festival and just happen to win the fruitcake weight guessing competition? Outrageous! Fixed! A public inquiry must be held forthwith!

I appreciate that you are part of this movement to reconnect religion and science. Sir Isaac Newton held that cause dear to his heart. He believed that Christianity before the 4th century represented a fusion of religion and science known as alchemy. And he predicted that the world would end in 2060 if humanity did not reclaim that understanding that science and religion are not separate.

Thank you for this moving report. I also appreciated your conversation with Mark Vernon about Patron Saints.

“ In Roman Catholic countries like Spain and Italy whole villages or towns still take part in patronal festivities that often include processions, feasting and fun.”

In Spain this is a huge source of revenue for musicians, as the sacred and the secular mix seamlessly. The patron saint festivities are a huge factor of community cohesion and a bridge between rural communities and their urban diaspora.

In my father’s village in Galicia, the tradition slowly died down throughout the 2000s (it roughly coincided with the introduction of the Euro but I’m not drawing a causality) but post COVID I’ve seen a resurgence led by younger people. I wouldn’t say the religious aspect is the main motor but it’s great to see that traditional culture hasn’t been completely trampled under the weight of the postmodern political and economic system.

Not on topic, but please take a look at this article:

Subtitle: Quantum biology and the origins of species.

A whole new theory of evolution, shows that morphic resonance is very real.

This is part of a movement away from the deeply unconscious state of humanity (atheism aka worshiping a $cience that follows the money's consensus - materialism )

Organized religions( fear of God and love of rituals) may not be the road to Self Knowledge.

Which comes with the knowledge of the inner Christ that you( and every human as the light of the world) are.

"Be still and know I am"

I like how you are part of the movement to join spirituality with real Science

as this compassion and medicine, marriage of consciousness and life can change the world .
